I have had it....The next time anyone is laying on a horn where I can hear and those Grand Kids are not with me I am walking up to them to have a discussion....Nothing makes me more upset anymore than anyone laying on their horn....
Yesterday Missy, Benjamin, Mackenzie and I went to the Mall...Missy had to return those presents for the 10 Christmas Angels. You can imagine how full the parking lots are out here...We pulled in and were going to park by Macy's because shotgun through their store is where you deliver all of the Christmas Angel presents.
We were all looking for a close place to park and we spotted a handicap spot. I have a Handicap sticker. I do not always use it but yesterday I had been up since 3 and worked and cooked around the house, Then I went to Church and walked to the kids classes and then into church By the time we were going to the mall at 1 I was about done in. It took Missy, Kenzie , and Benjamin loaded like pack mules to get all of the gifts in the mall...
Anyway, while we were looking for a spot we spied one on an end...but it was on a row that was the wrong way on a one way strip in the parking lot. Missy easily swung the car wide and parked in the spot...problem was there was a Cadillac Escalade wanting the spot....Now this was not like we just whipped in front of him and he had to slam on his breaks. He was at least 7 car lengths down the row....Even when he started laying on the horn he was still a long ways from us. By the time he got to our car I was standing outside of the car by the back door and I was certainly not moving fast because I have been sick. I was leaning against the car door so the kids could not get out and he had his window down. I said, "Mister that's a nice horn you have." he started to say something but there were two women in the car with him telling him to shut up....This man was at least my age or a little older...
He parked in the next row about 4 spots down. By the time they walked past us we were still puling crap out of the trunk. He said, "Hello." I thought hello my a$$...
Two weeks ago Darrel and I were picking up Mackenzie at VVL school. VVL is an older school here in Gilbert. It was built in the 80's ...It is the only school I know of that has parent pick up, school buses, walking students, biking students, and teacher parking ALL in the same area...To say the least it is busy...
Once the bell rings Kids are EVERYWHERE... This one day I parked in Handicapped and walked over and got Kenzie from the line. I was driving Kenzie was in the middle and Darrel was by the window. We were driving Mike's lightning truck...I had pulled out of my spot and was first in line going to turn left across 2 lanes of traffic and then going to make a left hand turn. Still in the school parking lot. People in that school are usually very gracious and before 4 or 5 cars pass someone stops and lets you in. This day there was a car behind me who was very cordial also but the rear end of their car was blocking an irate man from being able to back out and he was not so nice. He looked right at Darrel and said something like, "GD lady would you just move it!" Darrel asked me if I wanted to get into a fight....He did not know how bad I really did...
Now since then I have parked in the parking lot by this man twice in that same handicapped spot waiting for our kids.. He drives an old POS truck and has an artificial leg. He pulls up by my car and immediately starts talking loud on the cell phone...Both times...Once he was talking to a man and the other time to a woman...both conversations it seems like every other word is the F word...I find it very annoying and the next time I am getting out of my car and telling him so...
Two weeks ago when I went to treatment after it was over I was pulling out of the Hospital parking lot and was in line to make a right hand turn. There was a car in front of me and one behind me. The person in the car in front was OLD and he was wanting to make sure it was safe to turn left.
We had a red light but in AZ you can turn right on red. He may not have known that or he may just have been more sick than me. This day I was in the Vette and the top was down. The lady behind me started LAYING on her horn. She was younger than the other two of us. She wanted the guy in front of me to turn. I spun all of the way around in my seat and looked at her. She was throwing her arms up in the air as if to say, what is wrong with him. I just shook my head from side to side and made a face like you poor pitiful thing...She stopped honking. If I had felt better I would have gotten out of my car and went over and spoke to her..
Then there is the small matter of the school busses at VVL...There is a line you can pull in to make the curve to pick up your kid. School gets out at 3 if I leave the house and get there at school at 2:35 I am first or second in line...There is over half the line reserved for busses to park so you have to park a long way back from the school doors...I understand that... Now only about 5 cars can park in that line because there is a curve coming into the parking lot and if more than like 5 cars are parked there one of the buses is long and can not make the turn without wiping out the rear end of a car...So the line has to stop there.
One day I was first in line and sitting in the vette with the top down as always. The little janitor man is a old Mexican. He came walking down the line as fast as his legs would go and with every step he was saying, 'Oh no, oh no." he went to the back of the line of cars and came walking back by muttering the same thing. "Oh no. oh no." Then he gets to the front of the school and comes walking back by muttering the same thing, with a lady walking slowly behind him pretty far back. I looked to see what was going on. The lady had parked her Suburban to far back in line and the bus was not going to be able to make the turn. The janitor was excited. I am sure he walked back to the car hoping there was someone laying down in the seat sleeping. When he found no one in it he was even more excited. then when he finally found the woman she had a walking problem and has to walk stiff legged and very slow....
By the time she got to her car the bus was there and the YOUNG lady that drives that bus was laying on the horn...Not just honking it but LAYING on it... All the while the woman was climbing into her Suburban and pulling out that stupid bus driver was still honking...
I have had it with honking horn and rude people the next time I will be saying something...

But be careful, some of these rude people also carry baseball bats and guns. I get over to school around 30 mins ealry to pick up our granddaughter, but there's always some a$$hole coming in late, that double parks, and blocks about two or three cars from being able to back out so they can leave. I hate horn blowing to, I have never done that, unless someone looks like they are going to pull right out in front of me when it's my right of way, I hate these drivers that stop at the last minute, scares the crap out of me.
I have always told our daughters, try to remember that older person driving so slowly could be your Mother or Grandmother, so be patient and stay off the darn horn.
Hope you're feeling pretty good. How much longer will you be taking your treatments. Well time to start supper.
