I went to my Cardiologists yesterday. After my black out on the 8th all of the Doctors banned together to see if a heart doctor could tell what was wrong…The 12 year old DR at the hospital, Dr. Wolfe and even Cavalcant would not back off and let it slide….So I went… and I did not like… what I heard…
Dr Stern, whose name suits him, is sending me to an ‘Electrician’ as he put it. I have an appointment with him tomorrow morning. I asked Dr Stern if he thought my neck arties were clogged (Like the 12 year old hospital Dr thought) He said, “Hell No!” I liked that answer….
I asked him if he thought my black outs and my near fainting spells could be related…He said, “They definitely are!”…I was hoping they were not because I have had more near fainting than only my 3 black outs, in the last 2 years…
Then I asked him if he thought it had anything to do with low blood sugar. He said, “Hell No!’ I did not like that answer…
So I asked him what he thought it was. He said, “With all of my hundred years experience, I would say your heart stops beating when you completely black out and when you almost black out your heart slows so much you can’t function. You need a pace maker!” I really hated that answer…
So tomorrow I go to the other Doctor and maybe Dr Stern is wrong…I hope so..

I smiled as I read thru your post today. Some of the same stuff has happened to me including the ingrown toenail. LOL

I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully all goes well and you don't end up needing a pacemaker
Hey, I always try to look at the positive side. And that's the fact we live in a day and age when they can fix almost anything.
Mom's heart was acting up, she went through all the testing and they decided to try her first on some kind of a little pill that helps regulate the beating. She's feeling a lot better now. She never passed out, but she would feel like she was going to, she thought for sure she was going to need a pace maker. So I guess at almost 87, she's still in pretty good shape. Bad joints, but other things are working ok. LOL
Well, I have to go see if the grass has dried off enough to mow the backyard. Have a great week-end, it's just around the corner.
I sure hope your new Dr. is over 12and a bit more forthcomimg.
I would probably ask for a second opinion since you aren't wild about the puppy practicing medicine.
I had similar problems many years ago and it was my neck arteries. They wanted to rotor rooter them but I tried diet first and have had no problems since.
Please keep us posted.
This blacking out...has been going on a long time Helen. Even before they found the cancer.
Keep us posted on the outcome. Erin works with a young nurse who has a pacemaker. She is not even 30...I don't think and has 3 young kids. She is working and the pace maker has helped. I think a virus damaged her heart, but maybe not.
I think the health insurance thingy is petering out don't you. Everyone seems to be backing away except Obama...and he is only one man.
