Betty commented the house in Caney had memories for us well here is a short story....
While we lived in Caney I worked as a checker ion a grocery store in Bartlesville Oklahoma.
The Caney house was very old as were most of the homes in Caney. One winter Mike and I put rolled insulation in the attic. While in the attic I stepped off a rafter and my leg went through the Sheetrock in the closet.
That evening I went o work and while in the break room I told a friend that I was rolling out insulation in the attic and fell through the ceiling. A male employee was also listing to the story. When I finished telling it he said, "Helen those rafters are only 24" apart. How did you fall through them?"
Some things never change...

I would have hit him!
Hope you didn't hurt anything when you fell. Memories, sometimes they are painful ones.
I remember running in this house around the bedroom door jam and cutting my knee on a finishing nail that was sticking out.
I also remember dad making a bed for Billy to sleep in our closet and Melissa and I sharing the full size bed.
