I have been on the computer this morning reading the news like I do almost every day. This morning on Huffington Post I came across the Wanda Sykes video at the White House Correspondents Dinner. She is getting a lot of heat about her comments on Rush Limbaugh. I thought she was really funny and she took equal hits at everyone including the President and the First Lady. I have always said Obama is a very common man. Sykes said she would not be surprised if she drove by the White House and he was out there mowing the lawn. The entire video is about 15 minutes but it is funny.
Dick Chaney is really in the news these days. He says he is speaking up for the Republican Party since Bush is not talking. I am with Patsy; I think he is just trying to save his hide. He might want to just be quiet like Bush or he may hang himself.
More robberies are being committed by the common man. The news was stating several hold ups were now being committed by people you would never imagine would be breaking the law. One hold up at a convince store a man walked in and demanded $100.00. The store clerk negated with him offering to give him $25.00 and they comprised at $50.00. The clerk gave the robber 50 bucks and he left the store. Times are hard every where.
I spoke to Rhea King yesterday and she said there is an email floating around and she was surprised Marvin had not sent it to me. We are always saying ‘When pigs fly’. That was said about having a black president and just 100 days into office the ‘swine flu.’ I voted for Obama but I did think that was pretty cute….
