The Story That Will Not Die...

When I was in San Diego I did not have access to a computer and only was able to watch cartoons on the TV so I was a little out of touch with what was going on in the world....Maybe like Bush was during his last four years in office....

But when I got back to my computer Saturday night I had an email from Marvin King, THE REPUBLICAN, concerning Pelosi and water boarding. So this morning I read a few articles about it...This was in the Washington Post..

Graham said he has no memory of ever being told about waterboarding or other harsh tactics. Graham left the Senate intelligence committee in January 2003, and was replaced by Rockefeller. "Personally, I was unaware of it, so I couldn't object," Graham said in an interview. He said he now believes the techniques constituted torture and were illegal.

Pelosi declined to comment directly on her reaction to the classified briefings. But a congressional source familiar with Pelosi's position on the matter said the California lawmaker did recall discussions about enhanced interrogation. The source said Pelosi recalls that techniques described by the CIA were still in the planning stage -- they had been designed and cleared with agency lawyers but not yet put in practice -- and acknowledged that Pelosi did not raise objections at the time.

From the articles I read I do not know if she really knew what was going on or not...I know she toured the faculties but they may not have gone into specifics on everything...This was also in 2002 and they may not have been telling everything back then....What am I saying.... they still are not telling everything...

We know at least one film was destroyed in 05 and Chaney has a FEW still hid somewhere...Few, it may be a whole warehouse full....He moved some of them himself, remember his hurt foot when he dropped a box on it while was moving out of the VP's residence.....and Chaney is still hanging around to try to keep a lid on things in Washington....Bush just got out of town. I think he is hoping everyone will just forget about him...Kind of like us kids when we went up on the hill to hide from Mama...'out of sight, out of mind.'

Pelosi says she did not know and I tend to believe her. I do not think she could have done anything about it if she had known....Even after we got Bush out of office we still do not know all of the facts....But we may know everything before it is over because this story just breaths on it's own....a little coming out here and there giving it life....Chaney had better destroy the rest of those tapes and get out of town....I think Chaney was behind it all ...But we need to remember 'The buck stops with Bush'....He should have known all about it and Chaney was his man....

Obama was at ASU last Wednesday when I left town. ASU would not give him an honorary degree. ASU said they do not just hand out honorary degrees to anyone...I seem to remember some woman from Canada getting one last year...Then yesterday he spoke at Notre Dame to the graduating class and they did give him an Honorary degree. He thanked them and said he realized honorery degrees were not that easy to come by.
MSNBC Reported...The Rev. John Jenkins, Notre Dame's president, introduced Obama and praised the president for not being "someone who stops talking to those who disagree with him." Jenkins said too little attention has been paid to Obama's decision to speak at an institution that opposes his abortion policy.

Obama was Booed at Notre Dame, a strong Catholic school, and after 12 minutes into his speech he laid the 'dead horse' right in the middle of the table. He spoke about abortion, asking for an open minded debate about the subject. Several protesters were taken away without incident.

Miss California is still in the news for taking her clothes off here and there...or being in strong winds, I am not sure but thank goodness for that fair minded, above reproach, moral, Donald Trump, making a judgement call saying she did nothing wrong. The world can rest easier now.....

The sad part is, I am getting ready to take Fleta's MSN quiz http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4250964/
and if they have a Miss California question it may be the only one I get correct....
