WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama is seeking to block the release of hundreds of photos reportedly showing prisoners in Iraq and Afghanistan being abused, reversing his position after military commanders warned that the images could stoke anti-American sentiment and endanger U.S. troops.
I read an article this morning that Obama is blocking hundreds of photos showing American troops torturing people in Iran and Afghanistan and maybe other places. I remember Obama promised he would have a open government if elected. It stated in the article that he would be met with criticism from the more Liberal Democrats. I guess I am one of those Liberals. I think the American people should be aware of what has been going on then maybe we would not have so many war mongers out there.
Obama is set to give a speech this evening to the ASU graduating students. They say 70,000 people will attend.

I also believe in the "sunshine rule" of government but can see where publishing these pictures might put our troops in danger. Will be listening to what the man has to say.
And just today Nancy P is trying to explain why she knew about waterboarding since 2003 and never said anything.
