Friday...

About 2 weeks ago I took my sewing machine in to be cleaned and repaired. I had pulled it out of time by sewing very thick quilts. I have a good machine and I have owned it for 11 years. It has never been in the shop for any reason..

So, or sew, I took it to a fabric shop that sends the machines out to a 'guy' to be repaired. The cost for cleaning and timing is $69.95. The fabric store called me Tuesday and said my machine was back in and the bill was $89.95. I did not even ask why it was that much. I figured it is what it is and I needed it fixed.

Today I picked up my machine and paid the bill. There was a small space on the receipt where the repair man writes what he has done. This space is about half the size of an index card. The man wrote three times 'the machine was very dirty'. He did buff my base plate and repair a spring but I think the main reason it cost more was just because the guy was mad the machine had not been cleaned in years. As he said 'packed with lint. The machine was very dirty.'

I can't believe that your machine was very dirty!! Just can't buy that one. He lied.

I would have questioned the additional $20.00. Especially if it was advertised as being $69.95 and if they didn't have to replace any belts or anything. Have a great week-end.
