Missy got a Mini Pin for Little Benjamin for Christmas....A lady she works with found this dog and thought it came from the puppy mill they have close to her house....This lady is one of "Those" dog people....we all know one....Anyway we had to pick up the dog last weekend so we could get it over to Missy's without Benjamin knowing and he was with his Dad Saturday but this is the last time till after Christmas.....So I have a dog....
He was not fixed when the lady found him nor has he had his tail or ears cropped...We got the 'fixing' done but we are not doing the ears or tail...He is over a year old...and the lady said she has house broke him...this woman had 5 other dogs...
Anyway I have a good size crate for him and I put him in it at night...But all day long he runs the back yard and yelps and yelps...Matter of fact he has not shut up since I got him 3 days ago.. He wants in the house and just a few minutes ago I let him inside...you can see from the picture he was begging to be inside...Once inside I could not get a picture of him because he was so excited...By now he has laid down on the floor and is very calm...The back door is open and if he knows what is good for him he will go outside to pee...I have thought about wrapping duct tape around his mouth to shut him up....If he pees in my house I may wrap it around something else also....... Oh my the dog people will love this post...is that PETA I hear knocking at my door...

Believe me, that dog will be a yappy, yelping dog all of it's life. We had a toy fox terrier and she yelped all the time, until she lost most of her hearing, then she couldn't hear the trucks, motorcycles, UPS truck, things that would really set her off. In fact anything outside would sometimes set her off. One reason I don't want another dog. House breaking, getting them fixed, taking them to the vets, it's all work. Hope you're up to the task until they can take it home.
I think you need to let the poor thing stay in the house. He looks so pitiful begging with both feet.
she should have gotten a feist...they are the best. Not yappy.
I think if granny has a handful of rocks he would quit being yappy also.
