Car Salesmen....

Back in the late 80’s Mike and I bought a new conversion van. We also bought the extended Bumper-To-Bumper warranty on it. I know you should never buy those warranties because usually a person does not keep the car long enough for it to pay off. But for years Mike had made me buy them because he says, “I was not put on this earth to fix your car!” Which is not true.

So we get this Chevy Van and after a short while it has some problem. I take it back to the dealership to get it fixed. Well low and behold, the sales man that sold us the van and the warranty lied to us and nothing inside the van was even covered under warranty.

I had a fit and demanded to speak to the manager. When the manager came out to speak to me I was really fuming mad by then. In an attempt to calm me down he said, “You do know that Joe, who sold you the van died the next week, didn’t you?”
Without skipping a beat I replied, “See, there really is a God!” and went right on complaining about being lied to.

He agreed to fix the van. I guess HE did not want to take any chances….
