For the Birds

I went to this blog that has bird pictures http://mybirdsblog.blogspot.com/, Patsy has it tagged and I visit his wife's site daily. She always gives me a chuckle http://mybirdsblog.blogspot.com/
Today I just went over to look at the bird pictures and he has a wood pecker that has bright red on it and it made me wish for colorful birds here where I live. All of our birds take on the color of the desert... beautiful brown! I have got to get to Wal Mart and buy some bird seed soon. It will be cool here before you know it.
Anyway the 2nd picture on abes' blog is the head of a guinea. Oh, they have such ugly heads. You may or may not know but I am very afraid of foul of any kind. I could not go into Patty's chicken pen to save my life. When Daddy raised turkeys for Eldridge I was 13 and Daddy paid me to help. Sometimes I would run from feeder to feeder climbing on the top of the feeders till I calmed down enough to jump down and run to the next one. Of course when I ran they just really chased me then, but I could not help it.
I think this fear comes from when I was very little and Clayton had setting hens in the yard. One of my earliest memories is of those banty mama hens flogging me on the neck and back as I am running. So this IS all Clayton's fault.
I will know the results of my PET scan the next time I see the Doctor on the 31st. I am sure if it is bad news they will call me before hand. I don't think Dr. Cavalcant likes to give unexpected bad news. He is a crafty ole fox.
