When People ask me How I am I reply, "I'm Blessed'
I am truly blessed. I have raised 3 healthy children into adulthood and have been able to be a big part of my 7 Grand Children’s lives. They too are healthy and I imagine happier than my Children were growing up.
I was always a pretty strict Mother. I worked at jobs that allowed me to be home with my kids most of the time they were in School. So I was always right on top of what ever they were doing.
Kristina was always so pretty and wanted to please her teachers and me and Michael. I have always thought she had ADD but it did not hinder her as bad as it could have. She always wanted to please and so when I followed along behind her reminding her of the 100 things she needed to do she took the instruction pretty well. She received mostly A’s and B’s all through K-12 and then also in College. She has a Masters Degree. She has taken her Education higher than any other of the 12 Grand children on my husband’s side of the family. She has four kids and I worry that they are such a handful for her but they are a joy to me and to each other. I love her most because the was my first child. She is my favorite.
Melissa was the typical middle child. She was skipped over and overlooked most of the time. Melissa can read anything and did spend most of her K-12 grades reading everything. Well except her school work. She usually did not have to read that because she is very smart but never had to apply herself in school. Missy made A’s and B’s without breaking a sweat. And if there was a bribe of money she made straight A’s. At ASU she finally had a class that she had a hard time making a good grade. She got a D. It was her 1st one ever. She had to retake it because she had to have a c to move up to the next level class. I can not even remember what the class was. When Missy started 7th grade she was so advanced I could not help her with and Math or Science work. Melissa has a 4 year degree and her CPA license that she passed on the 1st try. She is better educated than any of my other Children. I love her most because she was the easiest tio raise....She is my favorite.
Then there was Billy, the Baby of the family, the one Kristina tried to raise and Melissa tried to do away with. He had trouble in school from K-12 grade. He also has ADD but did not care to please people so he did what he wanted his way. In School he was often in a little trouble never anything really big and very few things he could not talk his way out of. I often think Bill is the smartest of all of my children, not book smart but definitely street and people smart. And he knows a little about almost everything. Bill can work on automobiles, lawn mowers, tractors, chain saws and Bicycles, trailers you name it if it has a motor he can fix it…If he wants too... He can lay cement, tile floors, wood floors, Hang sheetrock, do a little plumbing and electrical, paint houses, paint cars, do body work…..when he wants too.. He is a whiz on stereo for the home and car, can hook up and electrical combinations of equipment….when he wants too... He has built fence, made sprinkler systems, irrigated, all sorts of yard work with electric trimmers and hedgers…He now does all aspects of 911 emergency equipment, from putting up towers to hooking up computers systems and alarms to installing devices in police cars. And although he is paid to do this job I imagine he does it when he wants too also…Bill has more friends than all of the rest of us put together….that’s not saying a lot…maybe I should say he has a lot of friends and way more than most people. I love him most because he required the most of my attention. He is my favorite.
All in all my kids have trued out pretty well and I am truly blessed. Being sick is not the worst thing that can happen to a Mother for sure….And besides I have been feeling very good lately…

They are all good kids and you were able to get them grown and on their own...it is an accomplishment.
Letting go is the hardest part of raising a kid.
I can tell you for absolutely sure, there are many, many things that are much wrose than dying...
In the end, we would not trade our children or grandchildren for anything, and certainly not for nothing...
What a great tribute to your children.
That was really good. You pinned Bill on the nose. He is great and can do almost everything... when he wants to! And we are all glad that you're feeling so much better
It's ok mom. I know I'm really your favorite...(ha ha)
