Austin had his 1st football game Saturday. Bettina put him in Pop Warner Football. He is pretty small and this is his 1st year. So the other players have been playing for 2 years. They know how to body check and Austin is still learning. Hopefully Eric will have some time to work with him and show him how to be as mean as those other kids. Granny would say, "Kick um in the shins, Little Man!' He played soccer last season and Eric ( Step Dad) was the coach and we were one of the BEST players now he is one of the lesser players and he does not like football. But I'll bet if Eric showed him more about body checking he would like it a lot better....Just look at those big ole clothes on that boy.
Earlier Missy was trying to get Benjamin to take a nap around noon. She sets the timer on the TV and after 30 minutes it goes off and then it is time to nap. Well as you can imagine we were not ready for that. Missy was going to go to the pharmacy and pick up a prescription for me. I told Benjamin when Mama left we would turn on the TV for a little bit more before we napped. We would keep it a secret. Now I did not say don't tell Mama or we would keep it a secret from Mama just that it was a secret...So Mama comes back down stairs, showered and ready to go she hung around and hung around. Finally Benjamin asked, "Mama when are you going?" Uhoh...so mama asked Benjamin, 'What are you doing when Mama leaves." And of course we don't lie..."Well, me and Granny are turning on the TV just to watch it a little bit." Mama did not leave the house. So I called and invited Austin to come over now and he did. So we did not have to nap after all. There is more than one way to skin a mule...or an old nag....
Since I was driving back into town that evening I gave Austin a ride to his Mama's so he could get ready for bed because he has school today.....Hopefully he will meet no kids wearing red today.

That's right he said only mean kids wear red, so I hope he didn't find any either. LOL Perhaps you need to buy him a couple of red T-shirts, this way you can tell him, he doesn't have to be mean, it's just so the kids might think he is and will leave him alone.
He is a handsome boy!
Benjamin knows that he has to tell all secrets to Mommy. He knows to tell Mommy EVERYTHING. He rats out everyone. It's wonderful. I always know what is going on. Go Benjamin! Rat them out!
