Sister Fleta posted pictures of her hoe http://1stsister.blogspot.com/ and she stated me or Brother Richard has Daddy's old hoe. This is the one I used to use, before getting so ill, the one of Daddy's is up in the attic with the handle broken out of it. The old single tree is Daddy's. This is the one he cut from an oak when he was working horses in the bottom land and his broke. The cream cans came from Sister Fleta. Her boys shot holes in them. She also gave me one good one and Kristina has that one in her house. The old weed whacker came from Daddy when we lived on that farm in Sarcoxie MO. There is a pair of cow kickers that Brother Richard gave me years ago he said they belonged to Daddy.

I would call that a pick axe, not a grubbing hoe. It is larger than a grubbing hoe. If you use it, the handle is going to break because it has a big crack in it. If my boys were there they would break out the handle and save you the trouble. They also shot holes in Daddy's marin houses.
Richard also told me he had Daddy's hoe.
your " cow kickers" are called"HOBBLES" i used them for a cow i had to milk that kicked wnen i was young.
