Who could be down.....

on a beautiful day like today.....Oh it is beautiful...


I have been over and cleaned the church. Done a load of wash at Jr's..Filled the bird feeders. I have do do a few things at JR's. Emmy is having a  few kids spend the night tonight. We are heading to Berryville after I pick up some kids today after school. We need party food and supplies. Tomorrow at 3 we will be at Big  Creek lodge this side of Branson. with about a dozen girls. I hope Emmy has a blast!


I'll bet Fleet is ready to come home  today. I can't get over how pretty is is outside. I have the heat off and the door open.


I tried to call Betty but there was no answer. I'll bet she is outside living it up.


Two weeks and I will be in AZ....I hope this warm spell lasts till then. I said we were going to have a mild winter...I think I am.

Hump day....

It is still really cold outside ...Well not soooo cold. I just checked and it is 44. The sun is shining so it seems better than it is.


I made a lemon pound cake this morning...It is pretty good.


Fleta got a new set of sheets today from nomorerack....I had a credit sitting there because they messed up with my Christmas order and I had to call about a dozen times to straighten it out. They gave me 40 bucks for my troubles...I used a little of it but I still had 21 bucks there....and since it cost me nothing, I got Fleta some sheets....I got some sheets from there when I got my bed and I liked them. hopefully Fleta will also..


Sharon Powell contacted me this morning on FB....She wanted me to tell Fleta about their 5oth...yes 50th....high school reunion. Can you believe it has been 50 years...


Emmy is having a birthday party this weekend. JR rented a cabin at Big Ceder. That is that nice place across from Pat's old home stead. Gilbert works there now. It will be me and a dozen 14 year olds Sat. night. I have games planned.  Hopefully they will all have a great time.


We have a neighbors dog that has adopted me. He is a beautiful Alaskan Husky. He is big but he must still be a pup because he chews everything. He belongs to people on the old Stone place.  They need to either give him to me and I would chain him or they need to keep him at home.


Just 2 more weeks and I will be in AZ.   WARM....

Mid January...Almost

Maybe spring is just around the corner. It sure does not look like it today. There is no sun in sight. I think Wednesday is supposed to be sunny...I hope.
My bird feeder I hung on the porch is not attracting any birds. While in the bathroom today I noticed there are several birds below the house. I may put a milk jug bird feeder below the house in 1 of the trees....Only problem is I have to go into the bathroom to see them. I have moved all of my plants in the bathroom a few weeks ago. It is always warm in there and the sun does come in that 1 window during the winter. Hopefully they will make it all winter. Fleta gave me some hens and chickens and I think that plant may not make it.
Missy sent Fleta 2 pair of jeans...and a bunch to Robert. I am not sure how many but it is a stack....Nice of her to send them. Hopefully none of them are to small.
Emmy has a birthday on the 19th. I think she is planning a party on this weekend. She will be 14. I think Ingrid  is that age.
It was warmer this morning and my house is really warm. Even with no sunshine.
Hopefully Winnie Jo is a little warmer also.
I have not done anything for a couple of days. I cleaned house a few days ago and no one had been around to dirty it.I could go to the library and get some books since I am not doing anything. I think I;m to lazy to go to town.

It's still cold....

but not to cold to stop the Douglas Road Walking lady....She went by here this afternoon....Picking up trash as she went. Then she called George and made him come and haul the trash home.


Fleta went to the store and bought some Material and we made some soft scarfs... Fleta said she was not going to wear them walking...I said well no since you wipe your nose on them...She said she didn't do that she wiped her nose on her gloves. Winnie Jo is going to think I made this up...


Tomorrow is Church day. I am riding in Fleta's warm truck. She has auto start. I am sure it is warm when she climbs in it.


I was outside just a wee bit today. I re tied the fence where the goats were walking through it and then string along, one after the other across the yard. They were not hurting anything... BUT....give them an inch and they take a mile! They'll be eating Clayton's Irsis this spring...


I cooked a little today. I made excellent salsa....I sent it to Fleta's..I hope they eat it all...It was so good.


I am SOOOOO ready for spring...It was 70 in AZ today....Just FYI...

Hump Day, Fleta...

It is cold here today. It is supposed to be below freezing all day. At noon it is 25 outside.

 I told Fleta I will not be going to church tonight.  I am sure all of this stems form Daddy's influence. When it is so cold I need to stay home. We never strayed away from the farm when the weather was bad.

 Thanks to everyone it is warm in my house. I spent the last 2 nights with Emmy since JR is not home. When I walked back into the house this morning it was 69. That is plenty warm for me. I have been using the oil heathers and they seem to work pretty good.

 I am cooking some brown rice. I was trying to think of something to cook. I do like rice. I am not sure what I will do with it. I might make fried rice.

 Fleta is at work today. While back the heater was not working where she sits at work. I'll bet it is working today because she has not came home yet.

 I spoke to Betty this morning. She said it was cold down there also.

 The rice is done. I made a stir fry with vegetables for lunch. It was so good., I cooked a piece of sausage for breakfast. You know when you do not do anything you don't need to eat much.  LOL

 Last night Emmy and Sam were up here. I had lean hamburger meat  thawed.  I did not have any buns and all I use is brown bread. I knew they would not like brown bread so I went to Fleta's. She had hamburger buns.... Two, just the right amount. I made the girls each a burger plus I got a pkg of brownie mix from Fleta and made those. There were enough brownies for Hannah and Robert also. Robert loves chocolate. Emmy took them down to Fleta's around 7....Hopefully Robert ate one.

 I have not stuck my nose outside since coming home this morning.

Unlike Clayton, I do not sit on the porch and smoke.
