Mama's Birthday...

I would like to post a picture of Mama we have not all seen 100 times but I do not have any...I noticed in this one today, Debby Lee had her hand on Mama. She did not show affection to Mama often. Maybe she was just steadying herself but she could have easily leaned on Daddy's arm in this picture. This was taken the summer Mike and I got married ,1972. My Mother liked Michael.
I remember when we first got a telephone. I think I was in 7th or 8th grade. Mama was in Hog Heaven. This was the first time she really had a lifeline to the outside world. It was a party line, Lovetta, the Norton's, the Newberry's and maybe the Morris's were all on our party line and Mama used to ease drop on them. She never had anyone to tell what she heard, except us, but she loved listening to everyone. I would come into the house and she would have her hand over the phone speaker and motion for me to be quiet. Maybe the Peden's were on there too. It was a great thing for her to have. She got to talk to Aunt Francis every day and Edna Parker often. She called Grandma Gaddy every once in a while.

No More Rain....

The rain is supposed to be gone for awhile. Hopefully till summer.

Kenzie ready to go to this retreat they had yesterday for girls her age. Missy went with her. It was all day. Benjamin and I stayed here and had a nice quiet day, Kenzie had a great time and Missy came back no worse for the wear. In this picture Kensie has on a pair of her new shorts. I bought her 3 pair. Soon it will be too hot here to wear anything but shorts. We were able to find some long ones. I will not let her wear short ones to school.

Benjamin spent last night with us. He loves playing with Kenzie. He woke up early when I got up so I let him get on kenzie's lap top. He loves it.

Kenzie is still snoozing and loosing. She may not get up till around 9. Sometimes I make her wake up before that. We should be going to Church but if she does not want to go I make her learn a Bible Verse. Last Sunday she had to learn Psalm 23. They do not memorize Bible Verses at the Sunday School we go to. There are a lot of kids but she does not like it much. Maybe because she has not made friends. She is not out going.

Now My Benjamin will walk up to any kid and say, "Hi, I'm Benjamin. What is your name? Want to play." I have seen him do it every where I take him. He did the same thing last Monday when we went to the mall to play on the play equipment. He did it every time we went to the beach. He can always russel up someone to play with. At the beach I always made sure he had the BEST toys. I bought him water launchers that would shoot 75 feet. Even the other Daddy's wanted to play with Benjamin and his water launchers.

Yesterday I was talking to Benjamin about going to school next year and I told him he will need to know how to write his name. He informed me he all ready could. He got a piece of paper and wrote this... I was surprised. He is very smart and his Mother needs to be beat giving him a name like that.He is a very good boy. He also wrote his ABC's I will post it later...

Hair...

Missy colored my hair for me today instead of paying Lilly 80 bucks to do it....It is not fixed in the picture and the color of the picture is off but it does look good and almost as good as when Lilly does it...But here's the funny....The whole time Missy is coloring it she is telling me how it may not look so good...After it was colored Kris called she said she needed hers frosted...She said Bill is going to do hers tomorrow. When I got off the phone I told Missy, no matter how bad I have it someone always has it worse than me.... I can not imagine Bill doing my hair... Missy asked me what I said when she told me Bill was coloring her hair. I said let me know how that works out for you...

You want to know why the picture is cropped like this... WELL, if you had seen the entire picture of my chin, jaw, and turkey waddle you would not be wondering....

Birds...

Just this morning I was thinking, 'We just do not have colorful birds here in AZ.' Then here comes this Hummer with a bright red head...I was so excited I almost did not get it in the picture!

The Birds were aeting in full force....

And then guess who showed up!
