Rained here most of the day....

It has been quiet an odd day here today...It has been raining all day...every time it lets up the birds come into my yard to feed....they must be hungry.

I made rolls, spaghetti, salad, and cottage cheese for supper. Actually, as Benjamin would say, I just opened the cottage cheese, I did not make it...Kenzie is always starving when she gets home and I do not let her have a snack I just start making supper. Then before bed time we have a little 'somethim, somethim' as she calls it..

I will take some supper to Little Benjamin at 5:30. Kenzie has Tumbling tonight so I have to get out anyway.

Tomorrow morning when I drop Kenzie off at school, I have to go stay at Missy's house till a door guy shows up. Sometime by 11. She is having french doors put on the back of her house and getting rid of the OLD sliding door that takes a team of mules to get it opened and closed...No telling what it will cost her but I'll bet it is beautiful!

I can sit over there and read as well as I can sit here I guess....

No Post From Sister...

or should I say no post from any Sister...It is lonely when you pull up those posts and no one is posting....Just me, Old Lady Lincoln, and the New Sixty... Guess I could go to Mommy's Kitchen and see what she is cooking but I want to cook about like I want a new hole in my head...

I'm off to the Doctor's today....dread the trip...as always..

We went to Ross last night and got Kenzie a new pair of Tennis shoes. They are really good ones....Great arch supports ,, remember her bad feet...Then we found a pair of fur lined boots originally $150 but clearanced out for like 12 bucks....what a deal and she loves them. She will need a pair while she is back in WA for the three weeks at Christmas..

As far as I know Mike and I need to get two more Christmas presents, but one of them is a gift card...Easy peasy....Kenzie has made it a joy setting up and getting ready for Christmas...Smiling faces all around..

Kenzie had a great time at the Diner Theater and what an experience for her....We have Tumbling tonight then only one more class after tonight. At least till next year....

Email from Sis....

I got an email from Fleta a few hours ago she said...
Pat called on Janet's cell phone to tell me her house phone is not working so she will not be posting for awhile...

I saw that pile of books she picked up from the library and I know she is just in bed reading....she may even have the phone off the hook....Maybe that is why it is not working...

The Girl and I have had a busy day. We went to church with Missy, Benjamin, and Austin. Then Missy took us to the mall to pick out a couple of Christmas Angels, one was for Kenzie's teacher. We got a little boy a bike and put her teacher's name on the tax deduction card and wrote him a sappy note...I used to do this all of the time for my kids teachers....

Billy's 3rd grade teacher Ms. Simpson told her class one year, ...'If you are going to buy me a present please just put some money in the Salvation Army's red pot or get a gift for a Christmas Angel instead.' I started doing that for the kids teachers after that....After all what can you buy for a teacher that they really want...I am sure they are like me and if they want something they own it....I'll bet Betty has a pile of crap over the 37 years she has been teaching...

Although I do remember Billy's 4th grade Teacher Mr. Saint Marie ( a really young teacher)commented on my Mombo Oakley's sun glasses on meet the teacher night....this was back in the 80's when Oakley sun glasses were all of the rage and quiet pricey... I thought at the time ..'play your cards right and you will own a pair of these...' I got him a pair for Christmas...It was one of the best investments I ever made...

Bill was a little trouble when he was in school and I remember in the 6th grade all of the 6th graders get to go on a three day field trip ....camping... and it was in Payson on someplace like that...Bill had mis behaved and he was the only kid in the 6th grade that was not going to get to go....Now he had not done anything really bad like set the school on fire, he just would not finished all of his work on time....same as it had been for the past 6 years...Well you can imagine how that went over with me so I was set to go to the Principal and set it up that I would go along and keep Bill in line... Then Mr. Saint Marie went to the Principal and told him if he would let Bill go he would be personally responsible for him...Bill got to go and I did not get any bad reports....Those sun glasses paid off....

Sisters....

It is so cold here today....The sun is shining and it is 55 .....I wore my big fur coat to church today...All of the Grand kids liked it...I told them Grandpa killed a bear so I could make it....I figured you all would really appreciate this post since you all are huddled under blankets....
