Jamie Dawn

Rhea's middle Daughter got married last Month.
Marvin is always sending me some sort of email crap....Usually putting down Obama... but the other day he sent me something useful....these photos and these links....I loved the pictures...

I thought the wedding was just perfect for Jamie...The dress was very Marilyn Monroe...There were several good pictures of all of Rhea's Grand Kids but I chose this one because it reminded me of how awful it was to get that many Grand Kids to hold still for a good Picture...They are all moving in different directions...

The last Picture is of Jamie and her boy.

Of course my favorite is the one with Rhea..Look how happy her girl is...
Later... As soon as I made this post I decided I should not be plastering other people's Grand Kids on the net ...so I am sending the picture link to my family by e-mail....be sure and pull them up to look at how nice the wedding was...

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!

I got up this morning around 6:00 AM. That was later than I have been getting up for the past two weeks. Some days I have been waking up at 3 and not able to get back to sleep. So it was nice to sleep a little later this morning.

When I got up this morning I did my usual nothingness...made a pot of coffee, drank that, read some on the computer, emptied the dish washer, just little things...I looked at the clock and it said 7:45...I thought that can't be correct! It was!

I ran in and shook Kenzie and said, 'We need to leave for school in 5 minutes!' She shot out of bed like a rocket....It's a good thing we always get things ready the night before. She whipped on her clothes we had laid out while I put tooth paste on her tooth brush. I garbed a wash cloth and turned on the hot water. I grabbed her lunch and a bottle of water. By now she was brushing her hair. I poured Orange juice in a cup and grabbed a bag of blue berry muffins. and we headed to the truck. I was not about to drive the convertible since I still had on my Pj's and had not even combed my hair.

We made it to school with time to spare but we sure had to rush!

Mackenzie has 4 tests today. It is the end of the semester. Missy worked with her 90 minutes last night reviewing math concepts. Hopefully she will do good on her test. All of the other subjects we have down pat, but math is not one of my strong points. I remember when Missy was in 7th grade she had all ready surpassed my knowledge in math. Now things are so much more advanced and I have slipped so much Mackenzie has surpassed my knowledge in 5th grade. I am glad I will not have to help Benjamin in kindergarten. He is all ready smarter than me on many things.

Sunny Day Here...

The Girl is at school but I have the Boy...It is sunny here today and the Boy could not stand the sun shining in his eyes..That old wagon wheel came from Arkansas. I have carted it around for 30 plus years...Well, Mike has anyway... Benjamin is taking pictures now. He loves to use my camera and it is so old I doubt if it would be a great loss if it broke. I do always make him put his hand through the strap. Yesterday I sat out some of the yard Christmas decorations......We have some lighted trees and deer also but they are too much trouble for me to put up...

I will have to take a picture of Missy's front yard...It is so full of decorations there is hardly any grass showing. Benjamin loves it....Missy says she always goes for the goddy look. She may not have the best looking yard but she definitely has the most stuff.... Last night I was afraid she would fall off that ladder it was extended up so tall...At one point she extended it up to reach the tallest part of the roof line but it was so tall and heavy we could not get it up to the house so she had to string them across the garage instead....I kept thinking if she falls off and hurts herself who would take care of that Boy...it made me really nervous...Her Brother will have to get on the roof and put some nails up for her so next year she can use a pole and hook the lights over the nails...

The Boy and I am having a good day today...

I have the smartest boy....

Tonight Mackenzie had Girl scouts. They meet right over by Missy's house. I always go there and wait the 90 minutes that Mackenzie is in the Girl Scout Meeting. Tonight when I got to her house Missy was on this VERY tall ladder stringing Christmas lights on her roof...I was helping her by instructing ...I did not want to be late picking Mackenzie at 7:30 so I had asked Missy several times, ' what time is it?'

It is cool out this evening and my nose has been running. I asked again what time it was, she told me it was 7:06. I said I had to go into the house and wash my hands and blow my nose. Benjamin said, "Why Granny, is this the time you always blow your nose?' I told him yes every day at 7:06 I have to blow my nose.....

Since Missy had worked on her house all evening and the boy had not had supper yet and because she still had to go to Wal Mart for something. Benjamin gets to spend the night with Granny so he does not have to get up so early in the morning...He will be here all day tomorrow....

Brother's Black Friday Shopping Trip....

I spoke to Brother this morning on the phone and since he does not blog I will tell you his story as he told it to me.

On Thanksgiving Day he went down to Marshall to have dinner with Kathy’s kids. Apparently Kathy’s Daughter had got a paper and was looking through the Black Friday adds. Wal Mart had a certain flat screen TV that she wanted for her Daughter (Kathy’s Grand Daughter) to use in her dorm but she had to work that day and could not make it to Wal Mart. Brother being the nice guy he is said, ‘Oh, I will go get that for you.’ He figured, drive over to Berryville, go to Wal Mart, pick up a TV, how bad can that be….

My Melissa who has been a Black Friday shopper for YEARS can tell you that shopping on Black Friday is a full contact sport and not for the faint of heart. Anyone that has ever shopped Black Friday knows that a novas Black Friday shopper needs to start out at a JC Penny’s or a Sears store the first year and work up to a Wal Mart or Toys-R-Us.

So brother gets up Friday morning thinking he will make a pot of coffee and take him a cup and amble over to Wal Mart and pick up a TV. When he got up he was surprised Kathy was up and dressed with the coffee all ready made. She wanted to go along….Now between you and me I think she knew how it would be and when Clayton saw the parking lot at Wal Mart he would turn around and go home…

Clayton said when he got to Wal Mart he liked to never found a spot to park and he was surprised the Wal Mart doors were all ready open and it was not even 5:00 yet….Apparently he did not give much attention to Wal Marts law suit a few years where a man got trampled to death and now they leave the stores open to avoid that herd of people… He also was surprised that there were police there and two ambulances there…

So Brother gets into the store and he said 'there was not room to walk.' He finally makes it back to electronics waits in line only to find out the line for the TV’s is over in the automotive department…makes since to me…The store clerk told him she thought that there were all ready more people in line than they had TV’s…

Brother makes it to Automotive. He said, ‘By now I have been hit and run over a half a dozen times by old people with canes and walkers and such.’ If the old people were running him over this should have been a clue to him he was in over his head…

When he got over to automotive he said, ’You should have seen the line!’…Sure enough there were already more people waiting than they had TV’s. He told Kathy he was going to the truck.

The trip was not a total loss. Apparently our Cousin Sharon was checking and he stopped and had a nice chat with her. Clayton said they probably only had three TV’s…I could have told him if they had three and Missy had wonted one she would have gotten one…

Clayton said, ‘This was a once in a lifetime experience!’ I do not think he meant everyone should experience it at least once. I think he meant he will never do it again. He is truly a novice, naive, Black Friday shopper. He probably asked Santa Clause for a ‘Red Ryder’ BB gun not realizing he could shoot his eye out with it….
