San Diego...

Mackenzie took my camera on her trip. She was afraid to take one along because she thought she might loose it. She did not. I told mine was so old anyway it would not be a great big loss. Kenzie has a much better camera than I do so I would have just used hers till I got a new one if she had lost mine. But she is a responsible girl and got home with everything. Including the extra money she did not spend.

She has some really cool shots and I am not sure where they were all taken at. I have not had time to even talk to her about the trip since she did not get in till 10 last night and then were back up at 7:15 to get ready for school..But I have down loaded the pictures and there are some good ones. I am sure she will always remember this trip...I am so glad she got the chance to go...

The tour guides were a hoot. One of the guides told the kids not to forget anything on the bus, be sure to pick up all of their stuff...But if they did forget something or loose something just look on Ebay and they would be able to find it there.... Even Kenzie got that joke...

Home Sweet Home...

Mike and I made it home....No ill effects..Kenzie is on a bus headed this way. She is supposed to be at school at 10 tonight. I will be there waiting for her. She has had the biggest time.

Mike and I have reached the age and eyesight that we should not be driving at night.

We stopped on the way home and picked up some groceries...We bought one of those rotisserie chickens that all old people eat. That with salad and rolls was supper.

I really would like to give the car a bath but I am not sure I am up to it.

Cheryl gave me a scare on the pumpkin shortage so Saturday Missy was going to Wal Mart and I had her pick me up 6 large cans of Libby's pumpkin. They were 2 something apiece and I doubt I will even get Missy paid for them. She does not like pumpkin pie so I know she will not keep it so I guess I made out very well on that deal..

I really did have a good time and seeing Kenzie having so much was just a blast. She had made 3 nice friends after her spa party and they all roomed together in California. I spoke to her a few minutes ago and I told her I would really be glad when she got home. I said even though we were over there together I really did not get to see her enough and I really have missed her. She said she had missed me too...That was probably said for my benefit but it was nice to hear..

Bill had Austin this weekend and should be bringing him home today I was hoping he would stop by.

I spoke to Missy a few hours ago and her and Benjamin were going to take a nap...

Well my house is pretty clean from Friday so I guess I will go wash the bugs off the car and give it a good vacuuming... No use just sitting here being lazy...

Happy weekend everyone...

Glad today is treatment day....

I go for treatment today at 9. I am glad I am going I have an infection. I think it is sinus and bronchitis...I get it every year but usually in Oct. so I thought I was going to get a break this year but I guess not. I have been on Keflex for about 12 days now and it is getting worse. I will get some augmiten today and I am sure I will feel better tomorrow. I spoke to a Doctor yesterday morning and could have gotten it from him if I had pressed even a little but thought no big deal because I will be at the Doctors office this morning. But about 4 last evening I realized I should have asked him for a script. It is just amazing to me how I can go from, 'I think I have this or that to almost flat on my back in the blink of an eye.'

We all, Mike, Me , Kenzi, Missy, and Benjamin went to Lilly's last night for hair cuts and I was feeling so bad I could not even enjoy my visit with Lilly. She is always just going like a whirl wind about everything. But yesterday even she could not get me feeling better.

Maybe it is just thinking about being in the car with Mike 6 hours tonight that has me down. If Missy had Benjamin this weekend she would have to be taking me...But he will be with his Daddy. At least we are going in the Vette and the top will be down and it is hard to talk with the top down. Oh wait, that just means he will yell louder when he feels the need to say something, like the price of gas on every road sign we pass... I could just take some meds and zone out but I figure it will take both of us to navigate our way over there...It is hell to be old.. I wish HE was not so old...

My girl will be up in 2 hours so I took a klonipin and maybe I will be better by then..SHE is going to have a Fabulous day today, and ALL weekend. She is so excited.... I remember being that age and how exciting it was to get to do something like this....

The other night we were in bed, she sleeps in my bed. I told her this is just the best Time. I told her when she is older not to look back on this year and say, "That one school year I spent with Granny was the best year of my life...Instead think, That one school year I spent with Granny was the best time of her life!" I hope she remembers it that way. She is such a blessing.

story

There is a little story on Kris house I found amusing...

First this house was not in their price range. Kris was looking at listings one night to give to her realtor to set up viewings for the next day...This house MLS number was like a didgit off from the one Kris was wanting to see along with 15 other houses...The realtor pulled up the houses by MLS numbers provided by Kris...When they pulled up in front of this house Kris wonder why they were there..

The Realtor committed to Kris, "Why did you want to see this one it is not in your price range." Kris then realized what had happened...The house was vacant so they decided to view anyway..

They went through the house and loved it ...then went to that garage where there is a room...In the room was a sleeping bag, camping stuff, a compressor, tools and a bicycle... The Realtor called the listing realtor and told them he had a squatter living there...and he might want to run him out...

Come to find out...This house was in probate. The Father had died, He had built the house in 81. He had 2 sons, one son is a contractor, one son is an out of work laborer...There was 100K owed against the house...come to find out the squatter was the out of work laborer son fixing the house up... Kris's realtor was smart enough to see this was a window of opportunity...
