Gilbert Days Parade....

Mike and I took the two Grand Kids to the Gilbert Day Parade...
It is sort of like having a parade in Green Forest, it is not a very big deal...We did get candy, flowers, see horses, and some motorcycles...Santa was at the end of the Parade. Neither kid was too impressed.. I'm sure it did beat staying at home...

It rained on us on the way there but no rain while we were down there...

Sisters...

I heard from a reliable source that Cheryl Ann has been making some sort of bread or cake and canning it....She has been passing it out...I guess you all did not get any of it....Cheryl we want a recipe and a picture, please....You know I am still in the 'thinking about it,' stage.....But I am glad to hear it worked...

Friday...

Oh it is a good day today...
Darrel is here and took Kenzie to school so I am still in my PJ'S. That is nice. Usually I have to be dressed by now with make up on. I can't have that Girl embarrassed by Granny taking her to school...

Missy is on a plane heading to Hawaii. I am green with envy. But I have the Grand Boy. He is laying on the couch watching Thomas the Train movie....

I have stripped my bed and have a few loads of wash going and ready to go. I have cleaned the kitchen spotless and as soon as I finish this post I am doing the floors. I have all ready dusted some and there are a few other things I need to spiff up and then the Boy and I will be taking Kennie pizza at noon for her lunch.

It is cool here this morning. It is to be cloudy and only reach 70 today. Benjamin said it is going to rain because the clouds are dirty this morning. He can tell. He is a smart boy.

I asked Benjamin to open the front door this morning to let in the cool air and lock the screen door. This is what he did. I am sure that will keep out any intruders...
The back yard this morning. I think Benjamin is correct the clouds are dirty.
The orange tree loaded down. Don't get excited they will not be fit to eat...The Grand kids do enjoy picking them and throwing them at things. So I guess they have a purpose and once they are ripe I do like to pick one, cut it open and run it down the garbage disposal to make the house smell nice....So it is not a total waste.... My Sisters will be shaking their heads over that one...

Surprise!

Kris, Darrel, and I have been keeping a surprise for the past few days.
Darrel flew in today. This picture was taken at her school. We picked her up at 1 today so her and her Daddy can run around today. Darrel flies back out tomorrow afternoon.

Can You say Rooster Comb????

I am sure everyone has had a kid at one time or another that woke up with a Rooster tail in their hair...Well my Boy woke up this morning with a Rooster Comb. He and his Mama are home today because he is still sick and they are going back to the doctor this morning....
