No School Today...

Well every morning I get up and pull up the blogs and usually find none of my sisters have made a new post...I don't like posting so much right now and I have better things to do but I don't see why they don't post more!

Grandpa bought the Grand Girl a new purple ACER notebook. She is in 7th Heaven. He said it was not fair that we bought all of Kris Kids a new computer for Christmas and Kenzie is not getting to use it. Poor little Benjamin is just getting to hold the bag... He said he will never be old enough for a lap top computer cause he is only 5...kenzie did let him play on hers.. and he can play on Granny's any time...

Today I have these two. I wish Austin could come over... Austin has a new red notebook he is getting for Christmas but he has to wait to get it...

Cakes canned....

I told Clayton about this the other day. I will have to try it with my banana bread, carrot cake, zucchini breads and anything else that makes a bunch that I have to throw away because it gets old. I know people say to freeze it but it does not taste the same....girls think what a nice gift this would be for teachers with a pretty rag topper...Laura and Erin you need to mark this ladies site. It is one of the best I have seen. Kris turned me on to it..Here is her post..

Yes, cakes and quick breads baked in a jar. You did read the title correctly. These cakes are baked in a hot oven right in the sterilized jars. Then sealed in the jars by the heat in the oven from baking. When you are ready to serve the cake/bread just open the jar and the bread will slide right out. A properly sealed quick bread will stay safe for up to 3 months some say longer. It sure is hard to wait that long to pop that jar open and eat that wonderful bread. These makes such a pretty gifts . I have heard of dry mixes in a jar but never cakes or breads baked in a jar. So imagine my surprise when I heard about this technique a few years back. I can honestly say I have made these cakes a couple times around the holidays and everyone is always pleased and a bit surprised.
Kenzie will love making these...I have got to buy some straight jars...I had never heard of this but I am sure it would work...

Breakfast...

The Girl has been wanting to take Cinnamon Rings to her school. This morning I was up at 4 AM and thought if I hurried them I could have 2 baked by 8. I hope I can.
We will take them to the Teachers and Staff...I am sure they will remember my Cinnamon rings.

Last night Kenzie had Girl Scouts and Bettina dropped Austin off to stay here a little while. When I took Kenzie to girl scouts I took him home. By the time Austin got here we had eaten supper...I made this stuff that was awful, although kenzie ate 2 and I chocked down one and Mike ate the rest. When Austin came into the house he had a big fountain drink and I assumed he had had supper.

Well, I was wrong and after we dropped Kenzie off he said he was hungry. It was only 6 and I told him I'll bet his Mom has supper ready or something left over....Now My Austin is a very picky eater and I could tell he was down in the mouth about not getting something to eat. now. Finally he said, "I don't know what kind of slop we are having!" I told him I understood because we has slop for supper also....

Now Bettina, if you read this you can't get on to him because 'what happens at Granny's stays at Granny's' even though I plaster it all over the web.

So we stopped and I picked him up some chicken nuggets and a chocolate milk and he took it home to eat. That tasted much better than what we had here. He should be proud Grandpa ate it all....
