One Boy Today...

Benjamin showed up this morning with peach oatmeal for breakfast. He also has cookies for after breakfast...He looks down in the dumps, not because of the oatmeal but I said we could not turn on the TV till after breakfast. He loves to watch cartoons but the good ones on channel 8 do not come on till later in the morning. After breakfast we will go outside to play while I drink my coffee and all will be better...

Here are the shells Mackenzie and I picked up last year in WA. I dusted the table and sat them back on it where they belong.. I love looking at these shells...

Years ago when I cleaned the house I worked room by room cleaning each room top to bottom and then shutting the door. The closed door was the mark it was cleaned...Then as I got older and more tired I would start off cleaning the Bathrooms, living room, and bedrooms, The last room I always cleaned the Kitchen and then I did all of the floors Because as we all know as you clean dirt and dust fall to the floor....Now I am so old I start with cleaning the floors first because they are always the most dirty and that way if I poop out at least the floors are done...Next I clean the bathrooms then the bedrooms and living room. I still clean the kitchen last because I do usually keep it picked up all of the time...And I never dust till the very last thing because it is always the least important to me anymore....This morning I have gotten the entire house cleaned...It is a good day...

No Grand Babies Today...

So I am just cleaning house....I'd better get back to it...

Last Day...

I had to take Austin home this evening...He had been here since Wednesday. He was ready to go home because there was a new baby sister he had not seen and also his Grammy Bell was there. When he saw her truck at the house he was very excited she was there. I am so glad he thinks so much of her because I know she must be very good to him....But it is not easy being number 2 Granny to any of my Grandkids......Well there are 5 other ones I am always number one with all of them....Guess when you are number 2 you have to try harder...

This boy got all Green's at school last week and 100 on his spelling test.. He does like riding in the red car when we are pulling away from his school...I miss him all ready...

Hide and Seek....

Missy took the day off and we went together to take Austin to school this morning....I am always early when I go anywhere and so is Melissa but when you get us going together we are always super early....So this morning since we got to Austin's school about 30 minutes early we took the kids to the neighborhood park....Here you see them running to play hide and seek..

And here is where he hid....It did take Austin a little while to find him as Austin would walk around, Benjamin would slide around the tree....

Wednesday while Benjamin was with me he talked a lot about me dying....I do not know why this is not coming from me or his Mom, maybe his dad has said something about it...There were some interesting points he had about the issue...One was, ' When Grandpa gets old like you he will die too'...I really liked that one..

Then he has been wanting a DS for his Birthday. Missy said he could not have one because they do not have educational games for it. But Benjamin has asked me several times to buy him one. Benjamin understands that I am his Mama's, Mama and you have to mind your Mama....He brings up this fact often to me. So Wednesday he asked me again if I would buy him a DS for his birthday and I said ,yes.... He then told me His mama did not want him to have one and I explained that was because she did not think they made educational games for the DS but I had checked it out and they do have educational games for it and I will get him one for his Birthday... He was excited and he brought up again that fact about me being his Mom's mom, and he was glad I was the boss...Then he added..."And it's a good thing you are not dead yet, Granny!"
