It is just like the Energizer Bunny…

The story about Shirley Sherrod, Obama elected head of the USDA, just keeps on going and going…

In case anyone is living in a hole in the ground and does not know what is going on apparently Sherrod spoke before the NAACP back in ’83 and the told a story about how years ago a white man came for her help because he was loosing his farm. Sherrod was head of Agriculture Department Georgia Director of Rural Development. Sherrod gave a speech in which she tells a story about how this white farmer comes to her for help and she thought he was talking down to her. She at first did not put her full force behind his case. She was giving this as an example of how we all need to work together and how she was wrong on her 1st assessment of him. He was just a poor farmer also and then she did use all of her resources and help him save his farm.

Well Fox news got a hold of the speech and aired a little bit of it about her saying she did not help him It was that stupid guy from Fox news that aired the story…I know that does not narrow the field very much…I will look up the name among the many stupid fox reporters…Beck, there ya go…Then Bill O’Reilly jumped on the ban wagon…Also Fox news…Anyway when wind of this got to the WHITE house Secretary Vilsac, a white man, CALLED HER ON HER Blackberry while she was driving down the road and demanded she resign…She pulled over and did just that…The white farmer came forward in her defense or we still might not know the whole story!

Sherrod did say in her speech she took that farmer to a white lawyer to 'one of his own kind' which she admitted, in that same speech was wrong way to be thinking. Bill O'Rielly said if a white person would have made the same remarks as she said they would be fired…I beg to differ. I do not think there has EVER been another President of the US that has been openly called a liar by one in his own Senate or has had circulated an email around about planting watermelon on the White house lawn in his own House and if there. Even his own VP made some remark someone could not sell watermelons by the side of the road, I forget the details of that one. With another President hearing remarks like that heads would have rolled! I do not remember any one in the House or senate openly telling Bushie JR. over and over how STUPID he was and his stupidity showed up just as plain as Obama’s skin color… You know everyone could see it.

I have always heard one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch…I think this is true…Our President is a black man. I think he tries to be part white which probably helped him win this election. I think we all pretty much see he is going to be a one term president. There are a whole bunch of blacks in this country and I think it is time Obama stop trying to straddle the fence. At this point I would stop trying to straddle that fence. He needs to surround himself with Black beautiful people…Anyone he has the power to hire or elect should be a black person…I say bring them all in. There is force in numbers and he needs someone, anyone , to protect his back….Because I think even his own people, and I do not mean Black’s, but his staff and his right hand people are against him….A house divided is what he has. If I was him I would unify that white house and it would become all black. And that is that!

"Andrew Brietbart posted an edited clip of Shirley Sherrod. Chaos ensued. Sherrod was fired and it’s the fault of Fox News. Or is it? Herewith a case study of Fox Haters and their noise machine."

"To set the stage, it is necessary to know the true timeline. On the morning of Monday July 19, Andrew Breitbart posted a video clip of Ms Sherrod. Long story short, it did not provide the complete context of her remarks. That afternoon, Ms Sherrod was called repeatedly by the administration and told she was to resign. At this point, this story had not been reported on FNC, CNN, or MSNBC. There was a reason why FNC had not been covering the matter:"
---
'Michael Clemente, senior vice president of news editorial, said the network’s news programs reported the story with caution. “When I heard about this Monday morning and saw it on Breitbart’s website, I said, ‘OK, could be a story, let’s check it out,’ ” Clemente said. “We did the normal fact-finding we would do on any story.” At an afternoon editorial meeting Monday, Clemente urged the staff to first get the facts and obtain comment from Sherrod before going on air, according to internal notes from the meeting that were provided to The Times. “Let’s make sure we do this right,” he said.'
---
"Sherrod resigned, and the news broke on Monday evening. The first mention of the matter on FNC was from Bill O’Reilly. His show was taped about two hours earlier; he played the edited clip, called on her to resign. But by the time it aired, Ms Sherrod had already resigned, and an on-screen graphic noted same. (O’Reilly would later admit his mistake and apologize.) That same night CNN also played the clip in reporting on the resignation, as did Hannity (who discussed it with Newt Gingrich and a bi-partisan panel). It was also mentioned briefly by Dana Perino (subbing for Greta). By Tuesday morning, the NAACP had gone on record approving of the firing. Their statement has been removed from the NAACP website, but it said in part:"
---
'Racism is about the abuse of power. Sherrod had it in her position at USDA. According to her remarks, she mistreated a white farmer in need of assistance because of his race.'
---
"Both MSNBC and Fox & Friends discussed these developments. As the LA Times noted:"
---
'The first reported piece on Fox News, by correspondent James Rosen, aired on Tuesday morning, and included a second video clip that added context to Sherrod’s comments.'
---
"Along with the LA Times, reports from Mediaite, the Washington Post, and others make one thing clear: nothing that aired on FNC could possibly have caused Ms Sherrod’s firing, because FNC aired nothing until after she was already gone. That’s not a matter of opinion; it’s fact. So now the fun begins, as the haters kick into high gear."

I'm so glad you brought that out in the open, cause Helen would not have believed it if it had come from me.
